Prof Abbas Rajabifard is an internationally recognized leader and scholar and a proud land surveyor and geospatial engineer and land and property management expert. He is Director of Centre for Spatial Data Infrastructure and Land Administration and is Leader of Geomatics Discipline at the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
Prof Rajabifard is a member of United Nations International Advisory Committee for Global Geospatial Knowledge and Innovation Centre (UN-GGKIC) and is a member of the UN-Academic Network for Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM). He is also Deputy Director of an Australian Research Council Research Hub, on Resilient and Intelligent Infrastructure Systems (ARC-RIIS). Prof Rajabifard has worked and contributed to projects in more than 50 countries, particularly worked on several strategic projects on land and 3D cadastre, digital twin and urban analytics, in Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa, and Americas, including countries e.g. Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, China, Solomon Islands, India. Prof Rajabifard has also widely published, and has 14 books and over 400 publications.
